The September meeting will be held on September 13 at The Delaplaine Visual Arts Center in Frederick, MD. Our normal meeting hours are 7:00 to 9:00 PM but if you can get there earlier that would be great. Karen Leonardo is visiting us at our meeting and will be demoing her flowers with her petal puller tool. Also, our project for September is leaves - spring, summer, fall - whatever strikes your fancy!
We had a really good time last night trying our hand at making porcelain clay pendants. Cleo took them home with her and will slowly dry them. When they are dry , Jane Dunsmore will fire them in her ceramic kiln for us. They should be back for the next meeting on October 12th. You should then be able to take them home and experiment with melting glass frit, powders, enamels, etc in your own beadmaking and fusing kilns. More about that at the October meeting when they come back!
